The Great Pyramid is a wonder the Pyramid is an ancient and colossal construction that is still around from the Seven Wonders of the Old World. King Khufu built it to be 147 meters tall, and it was the highest building for 3800 years until 1311 when a cathedral in England got taller. This pyramid started a time of great building in Egypt around 2580 BC, so it is over 4500 years old now.
The Great Sphinx is an old statue that has been watching over Egypt for a long time. The Sphinx is the biggest and oldest statue ever, and it was shaped like a creature with a lion's body and a man's head, likely King Khafre, to represent strength. People used to call it “Horus of the Horizon," but today, it is called "Abu El-Houl" in Arabic, which means "The Father of Terror."
The Valley Temple is beside the Pyramids of Giza. It was built during the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt between 2686 and 2134 BC and was used for mummifying bodies. The Valley Temple is well-preserved and made of red limestone and granite. You can find some great statues of Chephren made from a hard stone called diorite.
Your lunch will be served at a local restaurant with a Pyramid / Nile view. Then, join your tour guide to witness:
King Djoser, also known as Netjeryknet, ordered the pyramid's construction Saqqara Step Pyramid. The stone mortuary complex instead of mud brick and the first stepped pyramid (not a flat mastaba tomb). King Djoser built the Pyramid for practical purposes and religious ceremonies inside the walls of his complex. This showed the connection between our world and the afterlife and provided places for people to give gifts to the gods. The architectural innovations of the Pyramid influenced all royal monuments that followed, shaping Egypt's spiritual landscape.
Memphis is a very ancient city in Egypt, and it was actually the country's first capital back in 3000 BC. Nile River splits into many branches there, so Egyptians called it "the knot of both Lands." Another nickname was "The Balance of Both Lands." We don't know precisely where King Menes lived in the city yet, but finding it would be a great discovery.
