These colossal monuments "Giza Pyramids" were built by the 4th dynasty pharaohs who wanted to secure their eternal resting places with their royal mummies and precious items. The pyramids are part of the Giza complex, and it includes the Great Sphinx and temples, The workers’ village, and cemeteries. The complex dates back to the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt between 2600 – 2500 BC. The largest and oldest pyramid is the Great Pyramid of Khufu, which is also the only surviving wonder of the ancient world.
The Great Pyramid of Giza was built by King Khufu during the 25th century BC and is the most ancient of the three pyramids in the Giza complex. This massive Pyramid is the only survivor of the Seven Wonders of the World from antiquity and size, and it remained the highest structure in the world for thousands of years. The interior of the pyramid contains many passages and some of which are still unexplored. The purpose of the Great Pyramid is not understood, but it is believed to be a tomb for Khufu and a symbol of his power.
The Great Sphinx is a colossal sculpture that dates back to the Old Kingdom of Egypt (2575–2150 BC). This Mysterious statue was made by “Khafre” who was a pharaoh of the fourth dynasty, it is the oldest and largest monumental work of art in the world. The Great Sphinx stands over 65 feet high from the bottom to the top of its head and 240 feet long from its front paws to its tail.
The Valley Temple of the Khafre who ruled around 2500 BC is located near the Great Sphinx and the Pyramid of Khafre on the Giza plateau. Mummification and purification of the Pharaoh were done in the temple before he was buried in the pyramid, and that was what the temple was built for. The Valley was built with giant stone blocks that weigh more than 150 tons. You can witness inside the Valley the amazing “twisted” stones which are a source of mystery, it is really one of the best well-preserved in Egypt.
Your delicious lunch will be served at a beautiful restaurant with a Pyramid or Nile view, and then, you will join your guide to continue your budget tour by visiting the following:

The Unfinished Obelisk would have been a colossal structure as it weighs 1168 tons and rises 42m high. It is believed that it was meant to pair with the Lateran Obelisk in Rome which once decorated the temple of Tuthmosis III at Karnak and is still regarded as the biggest obelisk in the world.
