The Giza Pyramids Complex

The Pyramids are ancient monuments that date back to more than four millennia ago, they were built by the ancient Egyptians who wanted to preserve their legacy and ascend to the sky. These colossal structures are the oldest and most amazing ones in history. The Pyramids were designed as tombs for the pharaohs and their royal families who believed they would become gods in the afterlife.

The Great Pyramid

The Great Pyramid of Giza was built by King Khufu (2609 - 2584 BC) to symbolize his eternal glory. The Pyramid is a masterpiece of his architect “Hemiunu” who designed it as a burial place and secured its place as the only wonder of the ancient world that still stands today. The Great Pyramid was the largest building ever constructed at the time as it has a height of 147 meters and a base of 230 meters on each side.

The Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx is a colossal stone sculpture that has a lion's body and a human head. The Sphinx is one of the oldest and biggest monuments of ancient Egypt as it dates back to the reign of King Khafre (2575– 2465 BC) who is believed to be the face of the sphinx. The sphinx represents the power of the ancient Egyptian civilization, it measures about 240 feet in length and 66 feet in height and was carved from a single piece of limestone.

The Valley Temple

The Valley Temple was a sacred place where the ancient Egyptians performed the rituals of mummification for the kings and queens of the 4th dynasty who ruled Egypt from (2575 to 2465 BC). The Valley Temple had many rooms which were dedicated to the purification and preparation of the royal corpse. The Valley Temple was made of huge blocks of granite and alabaster and contained statues of the king which were carved from a rare stone that is called “diorite”.

The Egyptian Museum is a historical attraction in Cairo that demonstrates the heritage of Egypt. The Museum was established to preserve the priceless artifacts of the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman periods. The museum is one of the oldest museums in the world, and it has over 170,000. The Egyptian Museum covers the history of Egyptian civilization from the Predynastic to the Roman era.

After that, we will drive you to Cairo International Airport to catch your flight to Aswan. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to our hotel in Aswan to check in and overnight.

You will receive your breakfast box in the early morning, then, you will join your tour guide to visit The Temples of Ramses II:

Abu Simbel Temples

The Great Temples of Abu Simbel were built by Pharaoh Ramesses (1279-1213 BC) to commemorate his glorious deeds that altered history forever. The temple was finished in 1264 BC and contains many wonderful sculptures and inscriptions that depict his victory at The Battle of Kadesh in 1274 BC which is one of his greatest achievements. The second temple honors his beloved wife Queen Nefertari and goddess Hathor.

The High Dam of Aswan

The city of Aswan demonstrates its modern power with the High Dam which is a colossal structure that was built from 1960 to 1971 under the rule of President Gamal Abdel Nasser. The High Dam is one of the largest embankment dams in the world as it is 111 meters high, 980 meters wide at its base, and 3,830 meters long. The 12 turbines of the Dam can generate ten billion kilowatt-hours of electricity every year.

Philae Temple

The construction of Philae temple started in the late fourth century BC under the rule of Ptolemy II who was the second king of the Greek dynasty that ruled Egypt after Alexander the Great. The temple was dedicated to Isis who was the goddess of magic, and motherhood who was worshipped by Egyptians and Greeks. The temple of Isis was one of the most sacred sites as it was the center of the cult of Isis who was believed to have resurrected her husband Osiris and given birth to their son Horus.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk measures 42m and was left unfinished when the rock developed some fissures during its carving. This obelisk would have been the heaviest one ever made by the ancient Egyptians as it weighed almost 1100 tons! The Unfinished Obelisk was begun and then given up under Queen Hatshepsut's rule in the 18th dynasty. This obelisk may have been inspired by the Lateran Obelisk which was erected at Karnak Temple Complex in Egypt and then moved to the Lateran Square of Rome at the end of the Roman Empire.

At the end of the day, you will be transferred by a private vehicle to catch your 1st train to Luxor where you will check in to your pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay.

The Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings is thought to have been constructed during the Egyptian Old Kingdom which lasted from 1539 BC to 1075 BC. The pharaohs of that era wanted to be near Thebess, so they picked this sacred valley to make their tombs and prepare for the afterlife. There are over 60 tombs that have been found in the Valley of the Kings and about 20 of them belonged to kings such as Thutmose, Ramses X or XI, Tutankhamun, and Tuthmosis III.

Hatshepsut Temple

Hatshepsut Temple is a magical example of ancient history, and it demonstrates the great achievements of a woman who ruled Egypt with strength. Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) built this temple in 1479 BC to pay tribute to “Amun” the god of creation, and to celebrate her own legacy. The architecture of the temple is inspired by the gorgeous style of the new kingdom and includes sculptures and reliefs.

The Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon are two amazing statues that depict the face of the pharaoh Amenhotep III (1391–1353 BC), these 18 m monuments are made of quartzite sandstone and were carved from single blocks of stone. The Colossi of Memnon demonstrates many aspects of his life and accomplishments as a ruler of Egypt, they were also a part of the entrance to Amenhotep III's mortuary temple.

Karnak Temple

Karnak Temple is a wonder of history and mythology, it is over 264 acres and it demonstrates the stories of the ancient Egyptian rulers and their deities. The complex of Karnak is dedicated to the three gods of Thebes “Amun and his consort and son”. This magical temple has some of the most wonderful examples of ancient Egyptian art such as the hall of massive columns and the alley of lion-headed statues.

After ending your day, we will drive you to Luxor Airport to catch your flight to Cairo. Upon your arrival, you will be picked up from Cairo International Airport to our hotel in Cairo to check in for an overnight stay.

On the sixth day of your budget tour, you will have your breakfast before checking out, and then a representative from "Trips In Egypt" will transfer you to Cairo International Airport to finalize your departure formalities, so you can return home safely with wonderful memories.
